S.T.A.R. Guild Astrology Study Group March ’20 Report
The library meeting rooms are closed, so we had a group skype call. It worked and it was a skype miracle. We even had a member participate who moved out west years ago. We are seeing the wonders of technology. My grand children are messaging me on kid messenger and using effects to make their faces look funny & I have learned to make mine look even funnier.
So we looked at the coronavirus and we had a variety of levels of concern. The chef in our group was making a pizza while we talked and it looked great. So I had a beer to celebrate her cooking skills.
The virus is a global event and we see that difficult Saturn is in global Aquarius until July. And troublesome Mars is in Aquarius in April and the first 2 weeks of May. Mars will form a lucky grand trine in the U.S. chart and this should benefit us, but what about the rest of the world? Here’s my Corona piece.
March 20th 2020
In Astrology, we are always comparing planetary events in the sky with events on earth. As we experience the coronavirus on earth, we look to the sky to see the event there that is causing it. A huge event has been happening. Four planets are in the sign, Capricorn, the sign of business and government. A lineup of planets in one sign is always important. These are visible in the early morning around 6 am. When viewed, we see Mars, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. Pluto can’t be seen but we know that it is there. Watching these planets move together should be events within the life of the virus. Mars is coming to Jupiter around March 20 and Mars is coming to invisible Pluto around March 23. Mars is coming to Saturn around March 31 with both in Aquarius. Mars is important because it is one of the planets that we associate with anything invasive. We can also call the virus, Pluto. Jupiter is coming to Pluto in late March and early April. All these planetary events represent virus events. By mid April the main planetary events seem to be over. Events can outlast their beginnings but it is encouraging that these major planetary events will be over soon.
If we look to the beginning of the virus, we see Saturn and Pluto coming together on Jan. 12th. Saturn is associated with loss and Pluto is extreme. So the translation is extreme loss. I’ve heard Nov. 17th noted as the beginning of the virus in China. At that time, Saturn was 5 degrees from Pluto. That is close enough for a beginning of an event.
A bit more detail is necessary. When Mars comes to Jupiter, the virus expands but also meets therapeutics. When it comes to Pluto, it becomes more extreme. Saturn and Mars going to Aquarius and away from the Capricorn planets also shows a shift in the virus. Jupiter coming to Pluto also expands the virus but brings therapeutics to it. Jupiter expands, but also brings help.

We then looked at how spirituality shows in a chart. The topic is not easy to define.
Neptune was agreed on by most and also the Jupiter, Sagittarius, 9th house combo was noted as representing seeking the divine and being touched by it. An example is that dreams and visions are 9th house according to tradition.
I suggested that any planet and sign can be spiritual is we are doing the positive side of it. And any planet or sign can represent the bad in behavior. A Neptunian psychic may not be good.
We noted our charts. One member has Jupiter with 3 other planets in Scorpio in the 8th. Neptune is very close with Uranus in the 10th and in a close sextile with a Pisces Moon.
Another has an early Jupiter opposing a string of Libra planets. Her Neptune is the last of those planets.
Member 3 has Mars, the ruler of the 1st in Pisces in the 12th opposing Neptune and both squaring the Sun.
Another has Neptune trine the Moon that opposes Pluto.
One has Neptune sextile Venus and trine Saturn and Uranus, her 1st house rulers.
Another has Neptune in a close conjunction in Scorpio in the 5th. She has been a teacher and does pet reiki.
I have Jupiter in Sag in the 8th in a grand trine and Neptune in Libra in the 6th in a grand trine with fairly wide orbs. Jupiter is much stronger.
Most in our group seem to have Neptune stronger than Jupiter. And most did not have Jupiter or Neptune dignified by sign but neither did the Dalai Lama or Mother Teresa. He does have Jupiter and Pluto in mutual reception.
We looked at Mother Teresa and saw Jupiter ruling a Sag Asc. and at the top with the Libra MC. Neptune and Uranus were square her MC.
The Dalai Lama has the Sun in a grand trine with Jupiter and Saturn, and the Moon with Neptune in Virgo and oppose Saturn.
I think Jupiter is stronger for her and Neptune is very strong for him but Jupiter quite strong.
Next month we’ll be at the library or on the computer on skype at 6 pm on April 28th. We’ll see how the events relative to the virus are matching up with planetary events. We’ll look at the nodes. And we will see how Venus’ long stay in Gemini is going for us. Email if you need me.
