S.T.A.R. Guild astrology study group met online on the 25th and looked at events for October. In the sky, we have just started an eclipse season with a New Moon Solar Eclipse at 2 Scorpio on the 25th of Oct., to be followed by the Nov. 8th Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 16 Taurus. Eclipses bring life changing events and they are not always difficult. These eclipses have a powerful effect on those with something important in Scorpio or Taurus in their charts. Of the well known we have: Trump’ Midheaven, Biden’s Sun, Mercury, Mars & Moon, Pelosi’s many 10th house planets, an arm of Kamala’s grand cross, Fetterman’s Saturn, Putin’s Ascendant, Venus and 7th house Jupiter, Meloni’s Jupiter, Israel’s Sun, and Schumer’s and Warren’s Moons, to name a few.
In addition to these eclipses, October had Mars squaring Neptune and Uranus squaring Saturn. November has these influences also.
Intentionally, I chose the New Moon eclipse to start the welcoming of beginners to STAR Guild. The seniors are from 6 to 7 and the juniors are from 7 to 8 on Skype. Unlike other services, there is no charge for Star Guild. The juniors looked at houses and planets and the bodies in houses, with a focus on the logic of why we group various earth things under these headings.
Here are some October events.
Ian had landfall with the Moon in wet Scorpio at the MC and Pluto near the Ascendant. Charlie hit years ago in the same place and also had the Pluto near the Ascendant.
On Oct 5th OPEC decided to lessen output under an Aquarius Moon. Aquarius is the U.S. MC and the position of our Moon, so this affects the government and the people.
On the 6th, the Thailand preschool shooting happened. The Moon was still in Aquarius with Saturn & squaring Uranus. Pluto was near the Ascendant, and there was a T square between Mercury, Mars, and Neptune. Cardinal, fixed, and mutable signs were all active with negative planets.
On the 14th a mine explosion happened in Turkey. The Gemini Moon was with Mars, the Ascendant was with Uranus and squaring Saturn in the 10th, and Pluto was with the MC.
Former U.K. PM Truss resigned on the 20th. It is said that her administration lasted less than the shelf life of a head of lettuce. In her solar house chart, she has Mars in Taurus in the 10th being stimulated by transiting Uranus.
By contrast, Meloni formed a new government in Italy with transiting Uranus in her 10th house Jupiter.
Many people were killed in tribal fighting in Sudan on the 19th and 20th with the Sun and Venus squaring Pluto.
Also in Sudan, 2 million people have been displaced by floods this year. Since late August Mars has been in Gemini squaring wet Neptune. So this is part of the influence.
Finally on Oct 24th with a Libra Moon with Mercury and square Pluto there was a High school shooting in St. Louis. Scorpio was rising and opposing Uranus and squaring Saturn. One teacher and one student were killed. This was the day before the solar eclipse in Scorpio.
I almost want to apologize for mentioning all of these difficult events. But it is my job to account for planetary influences expressing as events. Our defense is our good choices. Let’s remember that there are many more people in the world of good action than of bad. And many wonderful events have happened that we do not know about. (100 million miracles)
In Nov. the influences mention above are still in effect. I find it humorous that there is an eclipse on election day. This shows that those involved will have life altering events. A wider view has three planets changing sign in March ’23. Pluto moves into Aquarius, Saturn goes into Pisces, and Mars leaves Gemini after being there for months. This shows changes in the world. Much of what we are looking at now, will be different then. Incidentally, New Moon later on the 23rd, 24th, & much of the 25th shows an enthusiastic new start.
Fairly good days in November are: 2, 3, 13, 20, 23, 26, & 27.
