From the Desk of Leslie Marlar, January 2020
For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild will meet on Jan. 28th at the library in Cocoa, 308 Forrest Ave. at 6 pm, in room 3. We will start off with a discussion of programs for the new year.
In Dec. we had our Christmas party and we all had fun and missed those who were absent.
Here are the main planetary configurations in December and matching events.
Mars in death sign, Scorpio. This is associated with many deaths of protesters in Iran.
Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius. This brings legal and trade matters to our attention. Note the impeachment and the IG report, and the USMCA deal.
Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn. This stirs up events for government and business. Note the story about the government lying to us about the war in Afghanistan for years. And the Boris Johnson win could be placed here.
When Mercury was near bright star, Antares, a 19 year old was arrested for spilling Mercury.
On Dec 6th the Pensacola terrorist shooting happened with Mars in deadly Scorpio in the secretive 12 house and the Sun with the Ascendant in shooting sign, Sagittarius.
On Dec 8th there was an electrical fire in a factory in New Delhi. When the fire started, Mars in Scorpio was right on the Ascendant. 43 people died.
President Trump was impeached on Dec. 18th under a Last Quarter Moon in critical Virgo, that squared his Sun and Moon. The Sun was with his Moon and opposing his Sun. Transiting Mars was opposing his Midheaven.
A civil Libra Moon on the 19th got USMCA passed in the house.
Next month there is a very strong emphasis in Capricorn with the Sun joining other bodies there. Can we expect more politics?
Later in the month the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius square Uranus. This represents important surprises.
And Venus joins Neptune in Pisces and squares Mars. This can put love and relationships in jeopardy by being overly sensitive and impulsive.
A Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer on the 9th and 10th contrasts casual versus formal perspectives. We should do special but sensible activities under this.
New Moon in Aquarius on the 24th , 25th, and much of the 26th is a new start in our social and intellectual lives.
Fairly good days this month are: 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 14, 15, 18, 19, & 25.
I’ll be talking about the Astrology of 2020 at the Yoga Shakti on Jan 5th at 9am.
And I’ll be doing Astrology readings at Book & Bead on Saturday, Jan 18th.
