From the Desk of Leslie Marlar, August ’18

For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild meets on Aug 28th at the library in Cocoa at 308 Forrest at 6 pm. We will give time to our members who are new to Astrology to ask questions. Then we will revisit the current positions of planets to see how we are being affected. This past month we did a horary chart in which we tried to answer questions asked at the time of setup of the horary chart. The questions were sincere and reflected the horary chart. This past month started with 12 boys in Thailand being trapped in a flooded cave. This happened with the Sun in water sign, Cancer opposing Saturn and Pluto in earth sign, Capricorn. They were freed on the evening of the 10th getting close to the July 12th Solar Eclipse in Cancer. Fires have been happening in California this month with Mercury in fire sign, Leo and hot Mars in Aquarius squaring Jupiter early in the month being replaced later by Mars squaring Uranus. This probably applies also to the heat way in Japan in July. Both Aquarius and Uranus are about discovery and a lake of water under the pole has been found on Mars. Technical Uranus trining careful Saturn all month shows the rescue of the caved boys. Good Jupiter trine Neptune also sounds like their “dream come true” rescue. There were bad floods in Japan on the 7th and 8th. An eclipse in water sign, Cancer influencing the quality of time around the 12 could be responsible. And President Trump’s events at NATO, with the EU, and in England all happened around this time. The U.S. Chart has the Sun and 3 planets in Cancer. Also at this time Mueller indicts 12 Russian GRU people for election meddling. The Trump/Putin news conference on the 16th also happens within range. On the 19th a duck boat sinks in a storm drowning 17, 9 from 1 family. The Cancer Sun is square the Moon and the Capricorn Ascendant is between Saturn and Pluto.
On the 20th the Trump/Cohen tape comes out. We are half way between the Cancer solar eclipse that takes place in Trump’s 12 house, the house of confidences and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, the 7th house of the President, house of enemies. The EU trade deal and the 2nd quarter growth number happen 1 and 2 days before the Aquarius eclipse in Aquarius. This sign holds the Moon and high point of the U.S. Chart. Other events happening near the 7/27 eclipse were the decline of facebook stock value, Ca. Fires near Redding, and the earthquake on Lombok Is. Indonesia.

Next month, the nice trine between Jupiter and Neptune continues and brings good. The trine between Saturn and Uranus promotes sound new technology. And the square of Mars and Uranus continues the trend of unexpected trouble; we can guard against this. Mercury will be retrograde until the 19th, so we should enhance our focus to counter this. A New Moon Solar Eclipse on 10th and 11th in Leo gives a chance for a new start in enjoying life. A Full Moon in Pisces on the 26th, the 27th, and morning of the 28th focuses on work and restrictions.
