S.T.A.R. Guild met on skype and covered a lot of astrological territory. We looked at our events and transits. I think I won for the worst event. When you have a tooth pulled, sometimes a bone in the jaw near the tooth, instead of dissolving, pokes through the gum and stabs you in the tongue. This is bone sequestration. It is best to do nothing about it. I have it, but the worst seems over. When at its worst, it hurts to talk, swallow and eat. A friend brought me some baby custard as a joke. No joke, baby custard is great. The astrology of this is that Mars in the sky was very near my Mars in my birth chart. Mars, god of war includes things like tongue stabbing.
We looked at many events in the world.
The condo collapse on June 24th happened with Mars in Leo oppose Saturn and square Uranus. This planetary statement can translate to unexpected loss and destruction.
Cosby’s conviction overturning came on June 30 with Uranus in the sky very near his Uranus; surprise.
Pope Francis had serious intestinal surgery on July 4th; Saturn was very close to his Moon in the 8th house.
Demonstrations in Cuba and S. Africa happened on the weekend of 9th, 10th, and 11th. Of July. Mars was with Venus and still aspecting Uranus and Saturn.
Wildfires were happening in the west with Venus, Mars, and the Sun in fire sign, Leo at various times.
Very bad floods happened in Europe after days of rain under the first quarter moon. The Sun and Mercury were in water sign, Cancer.
On July 25th in India, a similar event happens.
Next month, Mercury is in Leo in weeks 1 and 2 and the Sun is there until week 4. So, fires should continue. No planets are in Cancer, so, flooding may lessen. I would make an exception for hurricanes, partly because Mars in Virgo opposes Neptune in water sign, Pisces at the end of the month. Venus does this in week 2.
The Sun and Mercury oppose Saturn and square Uranus early in the month and can bring some difficult events. Mars not being involved helps.
Jupiter is back in Aquarius from its short stay in early Pisces. You can see the two at night; Jupiter is east of Saturn and the brighter of the two. These two can be read as good things and bad things for humanity and knowledge.
Our hearts always go out to those who are having a tough time.
Next month the guild will meet on skype at 6 pm on Aug. 24th. We will look at Sun/Moon blends. We will simply note the house and sign of Sun & Moon and see how they operate in us. We may start a look at fixed stars in our charts.
Fairly good days in August are: 4, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 27, & 28.
