From the Desk of Leslie, March ’14

For those of you who are local, S.T.A.R. Guild Astrology Study Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of March, the 25th at 6pm in the main library in Cocoa, Fl. at 308 Forrest Ave. We’ll be discussing Medical Astrology. This is an immensely complex topic. We’ll each try to bring in our bottom line of how we approach the horoscope in order to see health problem areas. The beauty of groups like ours is the opportunity to put our minds together and share. It’s kind of a Vulcan thing, as in Spock. We start with whoever has the most pointy ears.

I’m thrilled with the Olympics proceeding without terrorist incidents. The presence of the grand cross had me worried. Mars was quite out of orb with Pluto, Jupiter, and Uranus. Orbs of all in the grand cross will be close again in April. They were close in late Dec. and January. We had 2 terrorist attacks in Russia in late Dec. and during January, the polar vortex happened 2 times. I just heard about a horrible terrorist attack on students at a school in Nigeria on Feb. 25th. At least 58 were killed. The Moon was in Capricorn, one of the signs in the grand cross. Now I’m not waiting for the Mars orb to get close again in April. In other words, let’s take the grand cross seriously and be cautious from Dec. 7 until August. And as the most pronounced event in the sky it should correspond to the most important events on earth during that time frame.

A New Moon in Pisces on the 28th of Feb. and the 1st of March gives us a chance to have a new start in spiritual and mystical areas. I just discovered Max Heindel’s “Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception” in my library. (There’s no telling what I might find in my library or my closet.) Starting this book would be appropriate. Incidentally, did you know that, the Church of Light, the Order of the Golden Dawn, and the Theosophical Society all sport variations of the same symbol, the Seal of Solomon.

Full Moon in Virgo on the 14th, 15th, and 16th has us contrasting the natural and the supernatural. The Virgo image, as a winged creature, does this on its own.

Another New Moon on the 30th and 31st in Aries is great for new starts and it can make us feel young.

Spring starts on the 20th at 12:57 pm. This is one of three important beginnings during any year. One is Jan. 1st, the cultural start of the year. Another is Spring, the astronomical start of the year. And finally, our birthday is our personal start.

Fairly good days this month are: 1, 5, 14, 15, 19, 22, 28, & 29.
